July 30th 2007:

Cardiff City win their third and final Pre Season fixture recording a three one score line against Morecambe.
Romanian left back Sepsi was given a start in this game following two substitute appearances in place of Kevin McNaughton who came on during the second half.
The first haf was forgetful to say the least with neither side wanting to risk suffering an injury ahead of the new season. There were few chances created, with McPhail’s free kick skimming the cross bar on the stroke of half time.
The half time substitutions seemed to kick start the game into life and a superb display by Romanian winger Gabriel Torje earned him the man of the match award.
Torje’s cross was headed in by Fowler on 70 minutes, before Torje coolly finished when he was clear on goal.
Worryingly for Cardiff they again had a lapse in concentration shortly after scoring, allowing Jon Newby to slot home from close range just three minutes after Torje had made it 2-0.
Roger Johnson secured the victory a minute before the full time whistle, powering home a header from Ledley’s corner.
Cardiff have enjoyed a positive pre season, recording three wins out of three matches, the new signings appear to be fitting into the team well and apart from Hasselbaink and Scimeca there are no injuries to worry about.
