August 10th 2007:

Cardiff City have a few injury concerns ahead of their opening match against Preston North End in the Championship tomorrow.
They will be without striker Jimmy Flloyd Hasselbaink who was injured in the pre season game against Camarthen Town. On loan striker Frazier Campbell is also out of contention for this match as he is suffering from the flu.
On loan defender Danny Simpson complained of a dead leg following a training session this week and will miss the game, although he should return for the League Cup clash on Tuesday.
Kasper Schmeichel is expected to start in goal with McNaughton, Purse, Evans and new signing Sepsi in front of him. The midfield is likely to consist of Rae and McPhail in the centre with Sinclair partnered by either Ledley or Whittingham on the wings. Robbie Fowler and Steve MaClean are the only two fit strikers at the club, so they should both expect to start the match.
Cardiff fans can look forward to getting a glimpse at the two new midfield signings Gabriel Torje and Baba Collins, who are both in the squad and are expected to feature at some point.
