August 20th 2007:

Cardiff City have signed Nigel Quashie on loan from West Ham United. The combatative midfield player will join the Bluebirds until the 19th of January in a bid to regain his fitness with the intent of forcing his way back into the West Ham first team.
Quashie 29, has previously played for West Brom, Portsmouth and Southampton after beginning his career at Q.P.R.
Cardiff manager Jonathan Walker was pleased with the signing saying “I’m delighted that Nigel has joined Cardiff City until January. This league is a physical one and with Riccy injured I felt that we didn’t have enough bite in the middle of the park, Quashie can provide us with that”.
Cardiff supporters although pleased with the signing have expressed their concern that the club hasn’t entered the market for a new striker, with only Fowler, MaClean and Campbell being the only fit strikers at the club.
