Nigel Quashie Joins Cardiff On Loan

August 20th 2007:

Cardiff City have signed Nigel Quashie on loan from West Ham United. The combatative midfield player will join the Bluebirds until the 19th of January in a bid to regain his fitness with the intent of forcing his way back into the West Ham first team.

Quashie 29, has previously played for West Brom, Portsmouth and Southampton after beginning his career at Q.P.R.

Glenn Loovens Joins Crystal Palace

On the eve of the 2007/2008 Football League Championship Campaign Cardiff City and Crystal Palace have revealed at £750k transfer deal that will see Loovens join the Eagles.

The signature of Loovens had been chased by a number of Championship clubs this week, with Norwich City and Wolves leading the way for the big centre back’s services.

Paul Parry Exits Ninian Park For Southend

August 8th 2007:

Welsh winger Paul Parry has become the sixth player to be sold by Cardiff City this summer by joining League One side Southend United for £150k.

Paul Parry is added to a list of players shown the door by manager Jonathan Walker including full back Tony Capaldi and striker Jason Byrne.

Parry had been linked with a move away from the club all summer and had thought to have chosen to move to Crewe, but the move broke down allowing Southend to capture him.

Matt Green Joins Clevedon Town

August 6th 2007:

Young Cardiff striker Matt Green has joined Southern League Premier Division outfit Clevedon Town on loan until November.

Green joined the Bluebirds from Newport County in January but as yet been unable to force his way into the first team squad on a regular basis.

The move will give Green a chance of first team football and if all goes well could see him back in the first team picture at Ninian Park when he returns.

Cardiff Sign Nigerian Baba Collins

Following the arrival of two Romanian players, Cardiff City have now secured the services of young Nigerian midfield player “Baba” Collins.

Collins, 18, joins the club from Danish first division outfit FC Midtjylland for a fee that has is reported to be close to £400k.

The left footed Collins is said to be able to play in both midfield and forward roles and boasts a polished left foot.

Cardiff Sign Second Romanian

Cardiff City have announced that they have signed a second Romanian player this summer, this time right winger Gabriel Torje joins the Bluebirds.

Torje who is only 17 years old has joined the Bluebirds from Poli 1921 for an undisclosed fee.

He is said to be one of the best prospects in the country and manager Jonathan Walker is delighted to have secured his services.

Kevin Cooper Joins Hull City

Striker Steven Thompson Joins Norwich

Following the sale of three players yesterday, Cardiff City have revealed that they have allowed Scottish striker Steven Thompson to join Norwich City for £75k.

Thompson joined the Bluebirds from Scottish Giants Rangers in January 2006 on a free transfer.

During his spell at Cardiff Thompson struggled to find any goal scoring consistency and at times found himself to be the victim of the Cardiff “boo boys”.

Tony Capaldi Fails To Impress Crystal Palace Fans

Following the signing of Tony Capaldi by Crystal Palace, their fans appear to be less than impressed by manager Neil Warnock’s decision.

Many supporters of the Eagles have expressed their disappointment in the signing on the clubs official website.

The general coconscious is that Tony Capaldi has been over valued by the club and will not offer the team anything that the current players can already do.

Bluebirds Sell Trio

In a busy day of transfer activity for Championship side Cardiff City, the Bluebirds have reported that three of their players have been sold.

Northern Ireland international left back Tony Capaldi has joined Championship rivals Crystal Palace for £400k. Capaldi, who had previously enjoyed a spell with Plymouth was thought to have been surplus to requirements following the signing of Romanian left back Laszlo Sepsi.

Cardiff Capture United Loan Trio

CardiffCity.com has revealed that they have secured the services of three Manchester United starlets on loan for the forthcoming season.

Frazier Campbell (left) is a pacy 20 year old striker who is said to have a big career ahead of him. He had a successful spell on loan at Royal Antwerp last season, scoring 21 goals in 30 appearances.

Cardiff Sign Romanian Left Back

Cardiff City have announced new manager Jonathan Walker’s first signing since taking charge of the club just four days ago.

Romanian left back Laszlo Sepsi has joined the club for a fee thought to be around £100k from Gloria.

Laszlo Sepsi is 21 years old and currently has nine under 21 caps to his name.
